Spiritual Wisdom Library presents
The Journey of Remembering the Divine
A story-based exploration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Japji Sahib — presented in Punjabi, Hindi and English, with explanation and reflection for readers approaching it for the first time or the hundredth.
Understanding the source
Japji Sahib is the opening composition of the Guru Granth Sahib, composed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Recited daily by Sikhs around the world, its 38 stanzas explore truth, the nature of God, and the path toward understanding.
It remains one of the most widely recited and reflected-upon compositions in Sikh spiritual life — words returned to again and again, at every stage of a reader's journey.
About this edition
Japji Sahib itself was composed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji — the sacred words are not ours to claim.
This edition is an attempt by an anonymous interpreting author to present those words alongside Punjabi, Hindi and English explanation, storytelling and visuals — created from a personal journey of studying and reflecting on the Bani over many years.
"An attempt has been made by this servant to present the words of Guru Sahib in a new way, so that the teachings of Guru Ji can reach children and youth."
Inside the book
Each stanza is presented with the original Gurmukhi verse, Punjabi, Hindi and English explanation, and supporting illustrations to aid understanding and reflection.
